Governance and Policy Expertise for Indigenous Communities

About
I was raised in both England and Aotearoa New Zealand, and have been grateful to call British Columbia home since 2017. When I’m not nerding out on policy, I can be found out in nature with friends, family, working with horses, or teaching yoga and meditation.
With over fifteen years of experience in policy development, good governance and community engagement. Since 2022, I have worked exclusively with First Nations, with a focus on good governance. I am passionate about supporting Indigenous leadership to design effective policies and systems to deliver quality services to community members.
Prior to consulting, I led policy and legislative teams in both the British Columbia and Aotearoa New Zealand governments. In these roles, I built partnerships across government agencies and community organizations to implement major social policy reforms in family violence and child welfare.
Throughout my career, I have worked with Indigenous communities to help amplify their voices in decision-making. A career highlight was being part of the delegation to the United Nations that announced Aotearoa New Zealand’s endorsement of the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
